I plan to blog about my experiences at this conference on a daily basis, however if I wish to keep this up I will have to stop letting the attendees keep me out so late
Dell Storage Forum 2011 is off to a great start! It’s late so here is very quick recap.
- Good flight into Orlando on Southwest Airlines.
- Setup the Data Center Bridging Demo rack in the Dell Storage Infrastructure and Solutions exhibit. Works great and I am looking forward to showing off what DCB can do for storage traffic in an Ethernet world!
- Mingled with Customers, Partners and fellow employees at the Welcome Reception.
- Spoke with one set of traditional Compellent customers discovered what is important to them now that Complellent is part of the overall Dell Storage Platform.
- Spoke with another set of customers on their current EqualLogic setup. Heard nothing but good things, even had one reference the work/papers I am doing/producing in the lab as a decision factor for them, Awesome!
- Proceeded on to Beer something or other at an Irish Pub, got even more great insight to how Dell storage is being utilized in the Education world!
All this on the first day, can’t wait to see what else this week will hold!
